City of South Miami, FL is Hiring a Recreation Aide (Seasonal) (Open Positions: 5) Near Miami, FL
City of South Miami, Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time/seasonal Recreation Aide. Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor II, the Recreation Aide assists in opening and readying the facility for general use, conducting recreation activities, facility rentals, collects fees, reports safety needs and interacts with the public regarding information requests for the Summer season.
Main tasks and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: assisting with the coordination and implementation of recreation programs including youth after school and camp programs, maintains inventory of equipment and supplies, reviews daily schedules for facility, field and pavilion reservations, and ensures cleanliness, safety and security of the facility.
This is a part-time/seasonal/temporary position averaging no more than twenty-nine (29) hours per week for a maximum of ten (10) weeks during the summer season from June 10, 2024 through August 15, 2024. Candidates will need to be available one (1) week prior to employment for in-service training. Permanent employment is not guaranteed following the seasonal/temporary assignment.
